Travelling Fellowships Available

The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust is offering Travelling Fellowships to UK scientists and engineers.

Travelling Fellowships provide opportunities for UK citizens to travel abroad on "a worthwhile enterprise of their own choosing" in order to return with knowledge and best practice for the benefit of others in their UK professions and communities.

A Travelling Fellowship helps individuals to grow in confidence, knowledge, authority and ambition and bring benefit to others in the UK through the dissemination and application of new knowledge, different perspectives and innovative solutions.

Fellows receive a travel grant to cover return and internal travelling, daily living and insurance within the countries visited and each year the Trust awards approximately 100 Fellowships for a wide range of projects. A Fellow must travel overseas for between 4-8 weeks and past award winners include scientists, engineers, farmers and conservationists. Since 1966, some 4450 Fellowships have been awarded.
